“No matter who you are or where you are in life’s journey, you are
welcome here. God is still speaking.”
St. Paul UCC is unique in our character, our worship and our small group activities. We invite you to check us out as a guest and then join us as a family member. We are located at 136 W. 1st Street, just across the bridge at the top of the hill. Please call 573-486-5525 if you have any questions.
Blessings,
Pastor Rick Riedel
Sunday Schedule
8:00 am - Worship
8:50 am - Coffee and Fellowship time
9:00 am - Sunday School
10:15 am - Worship
Our 8:00 am worship service, which is traditional in nature, is shorter than the 10:15 service. Following this service you are invited to head downstairs to Fellowship Hall for coffee, pastries and, of course, fellowship with our members. You could then proceed to Sunday school classes, pre-school to adult. If you prefer, join us at 8:50 for coffee and fellowship, 9:00 Sunday school and then our 10:15 worship service. Regardless, we think you will be comfortable here and enjoy the experience. Come visit the “church on the hill”, St. Paul United Church of Christ.
Devotional
What Doesn't Change?
If faith in Jesus is thought to have become weaker and narrower than it used to be, our vision is limited to the northern and western parts of the globe. In the south and east, Jesus is a rising star.
Circumstances shift and change, but not Jesus. What changes is our understanding of Jesus and the conditions that influence it. Those who are poor or jobless but devout believers will see a different Jesus than do many of the more affluent among us. Those dedicated to preserving dogma and doctrine will be suspicious of any understanding of a God who is still speaking with more to say than we've heard before.
